Dr. Hirzallah is the Founder & President of Healthcare Operational and Performance Excellence (HOPE), a consulting and training company focused on improving healthcare processes including clinical and non-clinical Processes, HOPE is a member of the Mayo Clinic Business Accelerator. Dr. Hirzallah works with hospitals and health systems to improve quality and patient safety, improve access and satisfaction while reducing the cost.

Prior to HOPE, Dr. Hirzallah has worked in different capacity at Mayo Clinic, including Quality Improvement Advisor, Director of Business Applications and Director of Performance Excellence. At the national level, he has served as the Co-Chair for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) - CTSA (Clinical Translational Science Activities) Process Excellence Group (CPEG) for two years.

Muhanad has 20 years of experience in the quality and process improvement field. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, certified Patient Safety Officer, Certified ADKAR Change Manager, Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award Examiner and holds the PhD degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He was awarded the Mayo Clinic Quality Pioneer Award, the Mayo Clinic Excellence through Teamwork Award and the diplomate status by the Society of Health Systems (DSHS).
